Oil mist extractors
Dupuy’s range of oil mist extractors are equipped with special filters that enable the suction and purification of large amounts of air rich in oil mists, micro-mists and fumes that remain suspended inside machine tools. These oily fumes prove harmful to the environment and human health. They are generated during machining when the rubbing of metals manifests overheating of cooling lubricating oils and causes subsequent transformation into oil mists. The most common machining operations in which this episode occurs are turning, milling, grinding, planing, grinding, drawing, drilling, boring, and blanking.
Current regulations in this area, which may vary by region or province, require the immediate extraction and purification of generated mists in order to maintain a safe working environment without affecting productivity.
Our range of oil mist filters is innovative and modular as needed, with the ability to be installed on even the most popular machine tools, including Kazak, Makino, DMG Mori, Haas, Trumpf and many others. Our goal is to make your work environment clean, safe and efficient, ensuring the best performance for your production processes.
How does the oil mist extractor work?
1. Air polluted with oily particles and suspended fumes is sucked in from the machine tool cabin and conveyed through the intake port to the filters by the vacuum generated by the centrifugal fan. Here, the principle of coalescence, the propensity of oil droplets to aggregate with each other, is exploited, which allows accumulation and conveyance toward the base of the collection container.
2. The air rich in oil particles passes from the inside to the outside of the filter chamber, resulting at the end of the process completely purified of pollutants. Oily droplets separated from the air stream do not undergo any kind of treatment and can therefore be recovered and reused.
3. A drainage tube under continuous “overpressure” effectively recovers recondensed mists by allowing them to be fed directly back into the machine tool.
